How carbon being tetravalent and oxygen being divalent form Carbon monoxide with formula CO ??

Answer:

When 3 grams of carbon is burnt in 8 grams of oxygen , then 11 grams of carbondioxide gets produced . If , 3 grams of carbon is burnt in 50 grams of oxygen then also 11 grams of carbondioxide will gets formed .
