How caste form the basis of discrimination

Indian society is divided on the basis of caste system which we called as varna system. Caste system forms the basis of discrimination because the sense of superiority of one caste on the other creates inequality. Like dalits are not equally treated by Brahmans. This led to discrimination.Hence does not allow other caste that are being sensed as inferior to achieve progress
