In order to produce a electrochemical cell some rules have been made which must be followed:-

1. In the right side cathode half cell is written while in left half cell anode is written.

2. We must show separation of two phases vertical line only.

3. We have to use commas for showing same material together.

4. We should salt bridge by writing double slash that is ||.

5. Features like it is gas, pressure or concentration to be written after the substance in brackets.
