Chemical displacement reaction differs from chemical decomposition reaction.

In chemical displacement reaction,one element displaces another element whereas In chemical decomposition reaction,the compound decomposes or breaks into more elements or Compounds.

For eg-:

Chemical displacement reaction.

FeSO4 + Zn =>ZnSO4 +Friend

Chemical decomposition reaction.

CaCO3 =>CaO + CO2
