Chordates are the ones with a backbone.

And non-chordates have no backbone.

This is the main difference between chordates and non-chordates.

There are many such differences between chordates and non-chordates.

If we consider the difference in their hearts, chordates have a ventrally placed heart, non-chordates mostly do not possess a soul.

But in some non-chordates, you can find a lateral or dorsal organ.
