How CO and NO+ are isoelectronic

CO and NO+.

Carbon has 6 electrons. Oxygen has 8 electrons. Nitrogen has 7 electrons.

So NO+ ion is formed after Nitrogen loses one electron. Thus NO+ and CO have same number of electrons and in the same configuration.

So they are isoelectonic.
