Answer:

Different cells have different jobs to do. Each cell has a size and shape that is suited to its job. Cells that do the same job combine together to form body tissue, such as muscle, skin, or bone tissue. Groups of different types of cells make up the organs in your body, such as your heart, liver, or lungs.

Most living things are composed of different kind of cells specialized to perform different function. Since biochemical function is determined largely by specific enzymes (proteins), different sets of genes must be turned on and off in the various cell types. This is how cells differentiate.

  • a group of similar cells that work together is known as a tissue.

Almost all of the cells in your body share the same DNA as was found in the first cell*. For a cell to walk, 1000's of these proteins must be made. each doing its particular job. Eyes and longs are so different because different sets of proteins are made in the various eye and lung cells.
