How Coming Together Federation is different from Holding Together Federation !!!

sanjeev8031: Independent states coming together on their own to form a bigger unit os called coming together federation. eg is USA,Switzerland. A large country decide to divide it's power b/w constituent states and national government is called holding together federation. eg is India, Belgium etc.

Holding together Federation :-

When a large country divides it's power among it's constituents states and in the whole nation . This type of power sharing is known as Holding together Federation.

In this form of government The central government tends to be more powerful than the state government.

Coming Together Federation :-

When the states come together on their own to form a bigger state , by retaining their identity and pooling sovereignty . Then the this type of Federation is known as Coming Together Federation .

In this form of government the power is equally distributed among the central government and the state government.

Federalism

Now as we are mentioning about the word Federation more frequently we must know about Federalism .

Federalism is system of government in which the power is equally divided among the central authority and the constituents unit of the country .

In these type of government system , Central government don't interfere with the matter of state government and vise versa .
