How composition of muscle fibers effect speed ?

muscle fibre effect the speed because in our body are present two type is muscle fibre the red and white fibre. the red fibre contain myoglobin which increase the efficiency of RBC to pick up oxygen.

The human body consists of red and white muscles. Red muscles are rich in capillaries, myoglobin and mitochondria.


White muscles have less number of capillaries and myoglobin and they contain Fast Twitch Type 2 fibers.


Red muscles have Slow Twitch Type 1 fibers which help them in contracting slowly but for a longer duration of time.


These are always active, use a lot of oxygen and so they affect the speed.
