in engineering computers are mostly used for designing 3D models.. models can be of anything like automobile, aerospace, architectural designs etc.
We can also simulate natural disaster to see the impact on these models.
How computer helps in manufacturing?
I think you already know that in automobile world component of automobile are assembled by robots.. and these robots are controlled by computer.. I have just given you one example.. you can add more.. so we can say that computers are doing great job in manufacturing.
