Cu2S+ o2 -----> Cu2O + SO2

Copper is first roasted in excess of air and then copper oxide is obtained.

After when a considerable amount of copper oxide is extracted then the supply of air is stopped an copper oxide is heated with the remaining copper sulphide.

CuO+ Cu2S---> Cu+ SO2

(You can now balance the equations)
