resource is an asset to the nation it is clear from the following example human beings are considered as the most important resource because it is only with the help of human beings that the resources can be developed for example if people are skilled and educated they can contribute to their societies in positive ways but if the people are illiterate and unskilled I cannot contribute to their societies .

as many valuable resources are found in the nations of South Africa but due to the illiteracy of the people and unskilled people it is not a developed country .
