if farmers are provided with irrigation facilities,they can expand irrigated areas and dry season agriculture. they will be able to grow a second crop.this will increase the production. and provides employment to more people.

and if they are provided with marketing facilities, they will get good price for their produce.it will provide employment for people involved in storage , transport etc.
