Mrs packletide faced the camera with a light heart even though she didn't killed the tiger as she wanted heavy harvest of photography n wanted to have her photo n news in breaking news.she was jealous of Mrs bimberton.

Mrs. Packletide made all arrangements to kill a tiger. It was an old feeble tiger. When she shot the bullet hit only the goat and not the tiger.
But, this was found out only by her paid friend, Miss. Mebbin and no one else. So, she wanted to maintain the belief of the people that she had shot the tiger and arranged for photo shoots.
She coolly faced cameras with light heart as the secret is not known to anyone except Miss. Mebbin.
