Electroplating is a method which prevents metals from rusting by depositing a metallic surface on the substance which is prone to rusting in the presence of electric current. For example, Tin is electroplated on chromium / iron to prevent rusting. However there is no general chemical equation for electroplating, but with an example we can show the chemical reaction which takes place in electroplating.
