Increased soil fertility by crop rotation is accomplished by planting nitrogen fixing, and/or high in organic matter, or nutrient drilling/nutrient mining (think daikon type radish or certain types of turnips) cover crops called green manures. Plants used like or in lieu of manures. Some are intentionally heavily fertilized to rapidly grow and absorb, and slow release nutrients back to soil when killed off. Releasing nutrients, providing mulch for water retention and weed suppression, and/or providing an ideal canopy/cover for a, or the, cash crop (typically seed drilled) seedlings to emerge.

Common green manures… Clovers hairy vetch buckwheat legumes turnips radishes etc. These can be turned under, or grazed (subsequently manured too), or herbicide killed off and then seed drilled into, etc.

One example of a rotation… soybeans (nitrogen fixation) are typically followed by corn…a heavy user of nitrogen followed by winter wheat. Winter wheat fertilized, harvested…waste mulches subsequent crop. Dry matter captures fertilizers..breaks down fast.

crop rotation is the process in which farmer grow two or more crops with some interval of time .

when one plants grown on plant and harvested then after that their is some time interval which helps soil to replenish their nutrients and also each crop has their own nutrientation requirements so if one crop require more nutrients then other less so it also helps in conserving nutrients within soil
