Current flow in conductor due to presence of free electrons.

When a potential difference is applied across the end of conductor the then, the electrons which were moving in random direction earlier start to move in a constant direction from negative terminal to positive terminal.

This, make current to flow in conductor

current flow in the conductor due to the presence of free electrons . these free electrons allow the current to pass freely.
