In a cyclone strong winds blow in a spiral towards the low-pressure area at the centre. In the northern hemisphere winds blow in an anticlockwise direction around the centre of cyclone, while in the southern hemisphere they blow in a clockwise direction.Cyclones bring heavy rains and cause damage to places over which they pass.

A cyclone is a storm that involves the movement of warm, high-pressure air and cooler, low-pressure air. This movement of air causes a rotation that picks up speed and creates a funnel.
