How DC motor start ?

A DC motor is used for generating mechanical energy, from electrical energy, through electromagnetism. When current is passed through the armature loop, the current is opposite of the direction of magnetic field lines, which causes deflection in the armature, causing it to move. Remember, AC and DC motors are only categorised due to the no. of slip rings.Hope this helped:)
