how Delta S and Delta G helps in finding the rate of reaction​

They help in determining the rate of reaction as per the occurrence.

  • The free energy change of a response which is ΔG can reveal whether a response happens spontaneously. The more the negative value the more is the spontaneity of a reaction
  • The ΔG of a response is the free energy of the last state less the free energy of the underlying state, making it is autonomous of the response pathway.
  • Whereas ΔS is an entropy, which is an estimation of arbitrariness or a disorder. If it is negative, the temperature will be more and the negative value of ΔG will decrease.
