Democracy is for the citizen. Democracy and the state is successful due to the dedicated participation of citizens. Where ever there is gap between the democratic process and the citizen, the state fails to perform and deliver justice to its citizens. Success of democracy is due to the complete participation of citizens. The dignity of state and its citizen are inter linked. When the state has a dignified system of democracy, the citizens dignity is also improved. As the people, so the government in a state. The more dignified the state the more dignified the citizen. the citizen are connected with state through democracy only. Patriotism and democracy go togather. So democracy enhances patriotism among its citizen. Through democracy the citizen accept a state as their own.
