democracies have been able to reduce inequality and poverty are:
Gives equal voting rights to all the citizens.
Provides equal opportunity to all the sections of the society.
Ensures social equality by protecting the rights of the citizens without discrimination.
Equally distributes benefits to all the sections of the society.
n a democracy it is possible to provide equal opportunity to all the citizens to prosper because democracies are based on political equality as all individuals have equal right in electing their representatives.
Raise education and skills among poor children, youth, and adults.
Make work pay” for the unskilled, and make more jobs available to them when needed.
Address the specific problems of such groups as ex-offenders, non-custodial parents, children in very poor families or neighborhoods, and people with disabilities.
By providing reservations for the SC/ST/OBC's.
By introducing new schemes for the needy.
But still Indian government is not able to vanish poverty in the country because of the corruptions by the politicians.
