as we all know that all the plants make their food leaves which also includes transpiration to make their food through photosynthesis. But the plants in desert areas does not have leaves. Instead,their leaves are transformed into spins which prevents loss of water from the body.
They make their food with the help of their stem and that is why it is green in colour.
