the development of a country depends on its resources as if country has enough resources to sustain its people it does not need to import the resources from another country and if it has abundant resources then it can export the amount left of the resources after the usage by the country .For example in India we do not have enough crude oil , so we are dependant on countries like Iran,Russia for it , therefore there is slower rate of development than what it could have been for India. But another factor also plays a role which proper usage of the resources or utilisation of resources for this an example is Africa most of the African countries ate rich in natural resources like coal,gold but due improper utilisation and exploitation of the resources by foreign nationals.
