Diamond can be made artificially by subjecting pure carbon or graphite to very high temperature and pressure. This method is of preparing diamonds is called High pressure , High temperature( HPHT).
There is another method called chemical vapour deposition ( CVD) in which hydrogen and carbon gas are kept into chamber which contain filament and microwave and again same high temperature and pressure is exerted.
