Answer:

The contemporary writings in Urdu during the event of 1857 were particularly written by the inhabitants of the present day UP and parts of Punjab who shared the common anti-British feeling. Asadullah Khan Ghalib, who is referred to as the greatest poet of Urdu had also written a lot about the Britishers rule and the East India Company. He was also among the first commentators to accuse the rulers of adopting a discriminatory attitude towards Muslims. George Puech Shore, who was born of a French family, had come over during the eighteenth century to fight for the Marhattas also wrote poetry in Urdu. He also used labels like fitna and fasad and described the rebels as marauders. The widespread use of the words such as ghadar, baghi, and fitna are foreshadowed by an embryonic anti-colonial discourse. The rebels' own vocabulary of resistance was also marginalized.
