When the called Ali a pest and spoke very rudely and coldly to him asking him to go away, Ali came out slowly and gazed at the Post office. His eyes were filled with years of helplessness. His patience was exhausted. Yet he had hope that one day he would get a letter from Miriam.

while waiting ali would hear the peons of various companies gossiping about their boss . People there aware about his habit and considered him mad. They made fun of him by calling out his name even thought there was no letter for him .They just want to see him jumped eagerly to receive the letter which was not there at all .Thus they insulted and laughed at the poor old man
