France supported America by both millitary and financial support in a war against their common enemy British. This led to a loss of 2 billion livre to France. Due to this the Frencg treasury got empty and the king was forced to increase taxes. And due to the proposal of the increase in taxes peopleof third estate got angried and it led to the French Revolution. So the American revolution add to the burdens of louis XVI (the king of France at that time).
