The Indian villagers were self sufficient and they were mostly produced things of their use. The farmer owned the land they cultivated and a small part of their produced was paid to the king as revenue. They were assured by the king of exemption.

The india village is still base on there agriculture economy. Before British advent the farmers was happy because they dont have to pay weekly money to using the water or any other fasciitis to british government.
