Anne Sullivan was Helen Keller’s teacher, from the Perkins Institute for the Blind.
Helen Keller who was deaf and blind, often got into uncontrollable tantrums and Anne Sullivan helped her come out of this, and learn subjects. She would write with her finger on Helen’s palm and make her understand various topics. Anne would make Helen read, initially using ‘raised prints’ and later on using braille. Anne would also take Helen along with Alexander Graham Bell, who was a close family friend, to visit museums and parks. Thus, she gradually made Helen Keller disciplined.
