miss anne sullivan gave helen a doll and spell in her hands d-o-l-l.helen found this finger play was very interesting and tried to copy it . at that time helen does not know that it was spelling and had a meaning.it took sometime for to understand that everyting around her had a name.

miss sullivan oncen was attracted by th smell of honeysuckle.there someone was drawing water from well. so miss sullivan made helen to touch it with her fingers and speeled the word w-a-t-e-r.by this helen understood that everything around her had a name.
