And in order to get same unit digit the possible values are 1,5 and 6

Only unit digits are taken into consideration

So possible values are 1,5 and 6

substitute these values in place of A

11*1=11 which is not the answer because the tens digit is not 9

15*5=75 which is not the answer because the tens digit is not 9.

16*6=96 which is the answer because the tens digit is 9 and this is only the possible value of A being 6 because this result only gives the tennis digit as 9.
