ausable was a clever man. looks can be decieveing, and that is exactly what made ausable special. nobody thought he was good enough to be a spy; and that included max himself. but little did he know, ausable was capable of outsmarting the cunning rival.
when max confronted him at gunpoint; asking him for the papers, ausable managed to cook up a story on spot. he maintained his poise and calm composture so max wouldn't know that he had a trick up his sleeve. he crafted his story in a certain manner, that max was forced to believe him. in a frenzy, max didn't think before he made his next move as the person knocking on the door was about to enter. this led to his demise, all because of ausable's well crafted story and calm behavior.
