a. Unlike Akabr, who was a religiously tolerant ruler, secular in character and brought about great cultural intermingling. Aurangzeb alienated the sympathy and support of the Hindus by committing all sorts of atrocities on them.
b. Akbar had abolished Jaziya. He did not force India’s majority Hindu population to convert to Islam, he accommodated them instead, abolishing the poll tax on non-Muslims, translating Hindu literature and participating in Hindu festival. Aurangzeb on the other hand imposed Jajiya on all the Hindus in the country. Even the Rajputs and Brahmans were not spared. He dismissed the Hindu Officials from state service and allowed only those to continue who were prepared to embrace Islam.

Aurangzeb was Orthodox person.He applied jajiya tax on Hindus
He removed all the Hindus from higher post.
But was born with both Hindus and Muslims .so treat same to both religions.
