In 1634 AD, there was a clash at Kartarpur which was battled between Mughal troops and Guru Hargobind. The supreme troops were directed and both Kala Khan and Painda Khan were murdered.

Amid whatever is left of the Seventeenth Century, Jalandhar remained immovably assaulted to the Delhi Empire. With the passing of Aurangzeb in 1707, the people of Mughal Empire started to loot. Banda Bahadur got requests from the workers of the Jalandhar Doab, in AD 1710, to aid them to defeat the Mughal Faujdar of Jalandhar, Shams Khan.

He accepted the request and his return paved a positive feeling among the Sikhs and they rose to be diverted from the burden of Mughal. Tricks Khan was vanquished in Rahon. By this help, Banda Bahadur occupied Jalandhar Doab in 1716 AD.
