Blacks of South Africa fought against the apartheid in the leadership of Nelson Mandela.

Various movements started including bans and boycotts of goods belonging to whites.

There were mass protests and massive civil disobedience campaigns,in which Mandela was a hero.

Thousands of average South Africans risked their lives to resist the brutal system and The African National Council(ANC) was formed which included many new leaders and some whites to fight against Apartheid.
