Hey __!!!
Answer ,
There is no doubt in this that British had exploited India in the most brutal way economically.
When Britishers arrived here India had 25% of the world’s GDP but when they left India remained with only 2% of the world’s GDP that explains how British have looted and destroyed India.
There was a time when Britishers bought raw materials from India exported it to Britain and sold the finished product back in India it means Indians had purchased there own product in much high cost and all the profits gone to British companies.
Whole Industrial revolution in Britain happened due to the cheap raw material supplied to Britain from India and selling those products back to India at much higher rates.
I can go on with so many examples that how British looted India there are so much to say but still we don’t hate British today because it was the thing of past we have moved on and Soon we will again become the World’s Economic Superpower.

Answer:
The British officers exploited Indians in many ways. They imposed heavy taxes on Indians farmers and reduced import duty on goods manufactured in England and imported to India. Even they cut the thumbs of expert artisans.
