There is some debate regarding the nature of the bow, some argue it is not finished while others say it was. At any rate it was a high poundage bow made from high alpine yew, this was still the preferred wood for making longbows in the 16th century.

The arrows were made of pine and consisted of a mainshaft and a 15-20 ... It is credited with making war as we know it today possible.
