Calpurnia couldn't convince Caesar to not go out. But, she saw a horrible dream where Caesar's statue had a hundred spouts and pure blood ran out of them. Strong and smiling Romans bathed their hands in his blood. Second, she also told him what the watchmen had seen and that the augerers (priests) had warned about an inauspicious omen and Caesar was in danger.

Thus, Calpurnia implored Caesar to not go out.
