How did carbon dioxide decreased in the early atmosphere?

the only possible answer to this question can be that during the early ages, the number of plants was much higher. as a result, the quantity of oxygen produced by these plants was comparatively higher than that of carbon dioxide produced.
additionally, most of the time carbon dioxide usually occurred in different formats such as carbon deposits etc.
