In world war II America threw two atomic bombs, these caused a devastating effect on japans economy as well as life. Japan lost around 3 million people in the war.
After the war Japan and America became a good post-alliance countries. Japan was nearly destroyed in world war II, so it need help of America to build it's economy, this was the reason for dependency of Japan on America's economy.
