Answer:

Charlie lost his way in the ‘Grand Central’ railway station. He knew it was quite huge but it seemed more huge that day.

As he lost his way, he tried figuring out. He thought he reached the second level but it was very much different.

There were fewer ticket counters and he happened to see an old type telephone booth. The man in the booth wore a green eyeshade and long black sleeve-protector.

He could see open-flame old type gaslights and there were brass spittoons on the floor. He then happened to notice people. All of them seemed very old fashioned. They have all dressed something like back in 1890.

He could even find “World” new paper that was not published for ages. He also found old-style bills and the money he had was not valid

I hope my answer is helped for you

Answer: The general layout of the third level was different from that of the second level. It had comparatively smaller rooms, fewer ticket windows and lesser train gates. The information booth in the center was made of wood and looked old. The place with its brass spittoons did not look very bright. So, Charley was convinced that since it was not the second level, he must be in the third level.
