Answer-There are many factor which led consumer movement in india:-
1-It begins as a social force to protect the consumer from unfair trade practices
2-Due to rise in hoarding and black marketing during 1960 is another factor leading consumer movement in india.
Due to above factors the government of India has introduced the consumer protection act in 1986 which is know as copra(consumer protection regulation act.

1. With the necessity of protecting and promoting the interest of consumers against unethical and unfair trade practices, consumer movement originated in India.
2. Many type of illegal acts like of Rampant Food Shortages, hoarding, black marketing, adulteration etc. gave rise to the consumer movement.
3. Consumer organisations till 1970s keep writing the articles, and holding exhibitions.
