Custard accepted his cowardice and others’ bravery by admitting that Mustard, Ink and Blink were braver than him.

The truth is Custard was braver than all of them. When a pirate tried to enter Belinda’s house to rob it, all her pets ran away and hid somewhere in fright. It was Custard, the dragon who faced it and gobbled it up. Custard was brave, but he did not know it.
