How did different parts of the country and people respond to division of Bengal?

at that time Bengal was the nerves of india. and it was a large province filled of majority of muslims in east and Hindus in west and the british decided to divide Bengal and played a sharp move of divide and rule but it was soon abolished by peoples and people started opposing british. and this give rise to swadeshi and boycott movement and the rise to nationalism.
