when Douglas went California with his father,he was just three or four years old.his father took him to the beach and when they both were standing together in the surf and as Douglas had an aversion to the water from the beginning,he(Douglas)hung on to him(father) but the waves knocked him(Douglas)down and swept over him.he was buried in water.when the water swept over him ,he became breathless and frightened.Douglas father laughed over this incident.so,this was how both reacted over this incident.
