Dr. Sadao was operated on that american prisoner of war after that the General ordered to kill him but he thought as a doctor and save his life and tell him to go on that place where is no life and waiting for Korean boat.

He was very much compeled by his duty to help the enemy solder. Instead of caring for the prejudices of race and country he rose above to save the American soldier. His wife too lent a helping hand without paying any heed whether the patient was an enemy or a friend.
