mainly on weather
because depending on weather they get food , if the region is dry (or their is draught) their is scarcity of food so they have to move from one place to another
if their is rain season they can not go for hunting so they are dependent on mercy of nature to do their work
early humans were dependent on nature for their food,shelter,etc

They collected food from forests.
They made their clothes using barks and leaves of trees in forests.
Some of them made their homes in the forest itself.
