Economics is simply making the best choices under conditions of scarcity. Even with an origin of two humans, they would have to work together to figure out how to best provide for themselves in natural circumstances. This quickly leads to the division of labor between male and female. The division of labor is the first necessary piece of economics, but it is not sufficient until we add in ownership and exchange. This probably involves siblings or a larger population interacting in a market.
