Evelyn Glennie was deaf, profoundly from the age of 11. Yet, she was determined to pursue her passion for music. she learnt  some 1000 instruments and felt from her body parts as she could not listen. She won numerous awards and gave free concerts at hospitals, prisons and even classes for handicapped children.

This made the handicapped children think, "If she can, why can't we?"

And hence, she became a huge inspirational source for the children...
